So, I made the mistake of replying to someone who I've been sick of seeing journals from, and they completely lost their shit at me.

This person (or multiple people, who the hell knows) has been harassing the same few people for a few months now with journals nearly identical to this one.
I got fed up with it, so I replied that I reported their journal.
Well, 3 minutes later my phone starts blowing up with dA notifications.
I log onto dA on my computer and see this...


Each and every note was pretty much the same copy-pasted sentence...





So, yeah, they've been blocked, but they will likely just start making other accounts (as they've been doing from the beginning) and, now that they've singled me out, will start adding me to their harassment list.
Oh, joy.

So, after so many years on dA with nary a troll to speak of, I finally got one! It was honestly pretty amusing, I ain't even mad!
I've learned my lesson, though. I shouldn't paint a target on my back like I did just moments ago.

Oh, and to whoever you are that's doing this, I think you should listen to these words, let them reeeeeally sink in.

Hello all you lovely people!
So, it's been a while, huh?
I'm sure some of you are wondering where my novel is, if you haven't completely forgotten about it like i did but not really

Well, I'll let you guys in on a little update, as well as ask for some advice!
So, in the (holy crap, it's been that long??) 8 months since I uploaded the first chapter, I have already changed my mind on a lot of the ways the story will go. One major change is that Riley will only have one parent, her mother (for a plot point that comes up HELLA later, like probably book 2 or 3), and since both her parents have been introduced already... continuing the story from what's already written is kinda impossible.

SO!
This is where you guys come in!
Should I re-write the chapters as an edit to the current chapters, revise the chapters and mark the old ones as outdated, or something else?

OR!!! Should I start the revision on Wattpad and link the site to the chapters that are already uploaded?? This may be the one I end up doing!!

Comment how you think I should go about it, or if you have just general suggestions, I want to hear from you all!

So, this morning as I was locking up my apartment door I heard the softest little "meow" and felt something soft doing figure eights around my legs. I look down to see a beautiful Calico cat that's mostly orange and black with little bits of white on her chest and paws. She didn't have a collar, but the way she acted and looked (she was definitely not underfed) I could tell she was a house cat. I had to go take care of a family friend's dog that morning and assumed "Oh, someone must have just let her out for a while, she'll be back with her family by the time I get back."



She was still there when I got back, running happily towards me, meowing. I put my stuff down in my apartment and she tries to follow me inside. I come out and walk to the office, and she follows me some of the way, but stays around my building (which makes me think her owners lives on one of the three floors in this building). My building is right next to the office so it takes less than a minute to get there, but UH OH, the office isn't open on Sundays...
So, I go on with my day, worrying about the cat the WHOLE time and hoping it wouldn't get run over (the road is very close).

I come back for the night at 7. I had gotten a container of dry cat food from my mom's house just in case no one had taken her in yet. I sort of shake the container around and she comes running up to me. I've put out two small bowls for her, one with cat food and one with water. I would let her inside, but my boyfriend is highly allergic to animal hair of any kind (he doesn't live with me, but he stays over a lot and has all of his carnivorous hanging pitcher plants here because my apartment gets a lot of good sunlight).

Any idea what I should do? It's been getting pretty cold out (for the south), and a lot of the neighbors have dogs...

Some of you may have noticed that I've made a slight alteration to the title of my book series.
(First Contact [Ch.1])

Instead of it being called "Planetary Exchange Program", I've chosen to rename it to "Interstellar Exchange Program". My reason for doing so being a detail which has not yet been revealed in the first book so far. I prefer "Interstellar" to "Planetary" since there could be intelligent lifeforms living on not just planets, but moons as well. Possibly even large spacecrafts that act as artificial planets (at least in the canon of this series), so I thought "Interstellar" would work best, considering it's much more likely that an object harboring intelligent life resides within different solar systems.

So, no, this change won't effect the plot in any way; since this is still a work in progress, many things could change over time!

I hope to have the next chapter up within the month, but College has sort of been kicking my ass lately, so don't quote me on that!
